A Biblical Bible Timeline Poster Gives A Creative Approach To Aid And Help Teach Biblical Events And Principles

Regrettably, a many preachers and teachers in our churches continue to preach shallow, superficial, flimsy, light weight sermons and their members hardly grow in Bible knowledge and understanding. Preachers love to give us'moral essays' and'warming affirmations' because supposedly, if we love people this is what we will do. Regrettable it seems, if God's men and women are falling through the cracks'for an absence of knowledge' so long as we're nice and loving to all. In reality, the more relevant we become to our world, the less relevant we're to our world.
Some years ago, I was speaking on the resurrection, death, burial and life of Christ Jesus, and a retired pastor and powerful preacher of the Bible, who had been a minister for 40 years, came to me and reproved me smartly over some fascinating points I made and he remarked 1Ti 1:4'Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.' I quietly asked him if I had been saying anything of a heretical nature at all, to which he said"No". I continued to explain that in the case of that particular Scripture, it was not referring to exploring Scripture but to the false teaching and school of thought of the Gnostics, but he would not accept it. Let me ask, how can a 40 year preacher & laborer in the Gospel, not know and understand about something that possibly half the books of the New Testament relate to?
How could he understand and preach the Bible fully without being aware of something that was so influential in the New Testament church? And then how can the congregation hope to figure out these things and be able to interpret their Bible properly, if they're not told?
Let's us as tutors and preachers stitch together the aspects of the Bible and God's plan into a logical whole that our people are able to draw on for the remainder of their lives, to help them to figure out God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and ways to better translate the Bible to order our lives by.
It is not difficult to do, and it's not boring if we're ready to put in a bit of study with prayer and fervor, and just possibly you can make use of a Bible Timeline also.
