A Bible Timeline Offers A Graphic Representation To Aid And Help Teach Bible Characters And Events And Principles

In our Sunday Bible class some years ago, a woman who had been a Christian and laboured in the Church for years, asserted that,"Yes, but Abraham had the Law and so he understood about......" (they weren't talking about the pre-mosaic law) I wonder just how many Christians will actually pick up the inaccuracy in this claim. Moses existed 500 years after Abraham and so it is an impossibility. I have since then compiled a Bible chronological chart and shown visually the chronology of men and women and occasions.

Why do we get stuck in a rut of our favorite topics and sugar coated messages?
We teach on a text from 2 Timothy and a story about Ezra and a theme from the book of Habakkuk and then the example of John the Baptist or the humility of Moses - parts from here and all over, but we do not put it all together in an apparent understandable, easy to remember, perspective with a decent Bible TimeLine including Church History as well. Constantly we are bombarded with new books, modernist ideas, a number of them perilously edging toward Liberal theology, when if we could be instructed the fundamental principles of Church history, we then wouldn't be so bound to do the same again.
Let's us as tutors and preachers stitch together the aspects of the Bible and His plan into a seamless tapestry that our people can draw on for the remainder of life, to help them to figure out God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and ways to better interpret the Bible to live by.
It's not difficult to do, and it's not boring if we are ready to put in a bit of effort prayer and fervor, and just maybe you can use a Bible Timeline as well.
